Tom Giammatteo, DC, PT, IMT,C is the Medical Director for The Institute of Integrative Manual Therapy, including Regional Physical Therapy in Bloomfield, Connecticut. The Institute of Integrative Manual Therapy is a multi-displinary holistic health care center providing manual therapy, nutritional wellness, and rehabilitation. Clients travel from all over the world to receive treatment at the Institute of IMT. Dr. Giammatteo is the Vice President of Dialogues in Contemporary Rehabilitation (DCR), the primary seminar company for Integrative Manual Therapy, offering seminars nationally and internationally for over thirty years. He is also the co-founder of the Connecticut School of IMT, a private occupational school authorized by the Department of Higher Education in the state of Connecticut. The Connecticut School of IMT offers diplomas in IMT. Dr. Giammatteo holds undergraduate degrees in both Physical Therapy and Human Biology. He received his Doctorate of Chiropractic Medicine from the National College of Chiropractic and earned a Certificate of Meridian Therapy and Acupuncture. In addition to his teaching fellowship, he was a clinical specialist in Orthopedic and Neurologic Rehabilitation for the National College of Chiropractic. Dr. Giammatteo was on staff for three years at the Upledger Institute's Healthplex Clinic and Brain and Spinal Cord Dysfunction Center in Florida. Dr. Giammatteo's expertise extends to sports medicine, orthopedics, neurologic, pediatric and medical patients. He has been presenting around the world to physical and occupational therapists, chiropractors, allopathic physicians, osteopaths and naturopaths.
